Flyer, NAACP, Poll Tax Campaign
This small flyer, published by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), urges people to pay their poll tax. Poll taxes were one of the many ways that whites discouraged blacks from voting. Movement groups worked to register African American voters, pay their taxes, and make sure they had a chance to vote.
