  • 1 - Ponte alla Carraia
  • ca 1220. B143 Destroyed by German mines in 1944 and rebuilt in different form.

  • 2 - Pal. Rinuccini (Site)
  • This site had houses confiscated from the Soderini family after the Medici restoration of 1512 and in the early years of the duchy. Part of their property went to the miliary commander of Cosimo I Ciappino Vitelli; then it passed to thee Rinuccini who in the 17th cent. converted the houses into a palace by Cigoli along with others acquired from the Pecori that were built over by Silvani. G-L 127 V. S. Spirito 39-41.

"Quarter: S. Spirito, Parish: S. Frediano, Streets: Lungarno, V del Fondaco {p}, V. S. Spirito {p}. Square 64 had few households, some shops, some patricians, some households with servants, few households w/o surnames and few households headed by widows."
