3D Printing at Brown

Yes, 3D printing is all the rage these days, and sometimes the promises of this technology outrun the reality. But behind all the hype and hyperbole is a potentially transformative technology that puts many aspects of manufacturing into the hands of everyday people.

These are still the early days of 3D printing, and there are many approaches and options. Even on campus, we have some very different kinds of printers available.

This will be a quick introduction to 3D printing concepts, where we are in the "state of the art", and where you can go on campus to bring your virtual reality into the physical one.
