William S. Yellow Robe Jr. was born and raised on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Montana during the 1960's, and is best known for his accomplishments in playwriting, acting, and directing. William was the artistic director of Wakiknabe, an inter-tribal Native American Theatre Company which aims to provide a place for Native theatre artists to practice, develop, and nurture their craft. William later founded the No Borders Indigenous Theatre Company, and was awarded a two-year grant by Trinity Rep in Providence for playwriting.
