head shot of Tayo Heuser

Tayo Heuser

Tayo Heuser was born in the early 1960's and grew up all over the world, including Italy, Korea, Tunisia, Libya, the Sudan, the Ivory Coast, and Washington, D.C. She attended boarding school in Rome and then went to RISD, where she studied painting and sculpture. Heuser later attended graduate school at Vermont College.

Since her graduation, Heuser has gradually built a career for herself as an artist. Immediately after her graduation, Heuser lived in New York City, moving back to Rhode Island when she married her husband and started their family. Heuser's paintings of Pawtucket Red Sox players of the early 1980's are still on display at the stadium. She has also had her work shown in shows across the country.
