Anne Rocheleau grew up in Western Massachusetts and California, and came to Providence to complete her masters in Fine Arts at RISD in the 80s. She has been a painter and sculptor for over twenty years, and is currently the director of the gallery at the Rhode Island Foundation. Anne uses her art as a forum in which to comment on politics, and her views take striking forms. Ranging from an installation piece inspired by The Patriot Act to brightly painted pop images disguising F16s and stealth bombers, Anne's work broadly incorporates a number of political issues in a way that unites the beautiful with the social.
