Comic Book Illustration
John Peck grew up in Connecticut, and came to Rhode Island to attend Brown University, where he studied Electrical Engineering. He is known for his visual art, including posters and comic books, and also for his vast collections of various media, including concert posters, records, newspapers, etc. Although interested in the forefront of computer development, Peck left the field because of a lack of career opportunities. He started designing posters for the bands of his friends, and followed by reselling collectables (especially early records), producing a catalogue of goods, printing t-shirts, writing music reviews, hosting a show on WBRU as the disc jockey "Dr. Oldie," and drawing cartoons. A collector, artist, businessman, and analyst, Peck is currently pursuing a variety of projects.
