  • Chapel attached to S. Lorenzo for the Medici ducal tombs designed by Don Giovanni de Medici? Buontalenti? Nigetti? erected and splendidly decorated in Pietra Dura from 1604 into the 18th cent. Pza Mad-Aldob.

"Quarters: S. Maria Novella, S. Giovanni, Parish: S. Lorenzo, Streets: Borgo La Noce {p}, V dell Amore (V S. Antonino {p}), V dell Ariento, V Porciaia (V S. Antonino {p}), V S. Jacopo Campo Corbolino (V Faenza {p}). Square 25 had many households, some shops, many patricians, some households with servants, many households w/o surnames and many widows. Weavers were likely here. This square was much changed in the 1870s when the Mercato Centrale was built."
