Danzig -- Amusements and Daily Life - Music

As early as the 17th century there were two concerts a week in the Artushof performed by professional musicians, most likely the town musicians. It is not reported what music was played or who attended. Naturally music was regularly heard in church. For the most part, though, concerts were private, domestic affairs.
