Per seguir la sperança che m'ancide,
Donna, vo cercand'io
Di celato tener el mie disio.

Nè vogli'a tte, cagion di tanta pena,
Questo greve tormento discovire.

Pero che lla ragion pur mi rafrena,
Onde disposto son così morire.
