Inventory Summary for: Magic Objects

Among the numerous objects that are used in love charms we here concentrate on: (a) holy, precious, positive, ambivalent and negative objects, among which new, discarded and found objects play a special role; (b) esoteric objects that characteristically define certain types of charms (highly visible and resounding objects or the fence signal charms for beauty; door/windows, hearth, signature objects, skewers and belt occur in fate charms; embers, hobbles, clothes, weapons appear in countercharms etc.); (c) objects that, being connected with weddings and fire or with death are to be used in charms for fate or hate respectively and (d) general categories of objects that tend to be used in a great number of charm scenarios, such as containers, objects used to stir, or furniture.
