Travel Arrangements:

Providence is in New England, 50 miles south of Boston, and is easily reachable by bus or train from Boston and NY. The Providence airport, T. F. Green, is about fifteen minutes away from Brown University and downtown Providence. International conference attendees should consider flying into Boston and taking the airport bus to Providence. Domestic US attendees should consider flying either into Boston or directly into Providence. The Providence airport is not only convenient, but often sports very reasonable fares.

By Plane:

International visitors - Logan Airport (Boston) is the closest international airport to Brown. Bonanza Bus Lines runs an hourly bus service between Logan and downtown Providence (see their fares and schedules page). When you arrive in Providence (Kennedy Plaza), you can catch a cab to Brown - which sits a half mile east, atop College Hill.

Domestic visitors - T. F. Green Airport (Warwick, just outside of Providence) has recently been expanded and renovated. Among the airlines flying into Green are:

American Airlines 800-433-7300
Continental Airlines 800-525-0280
Delta Airlines 800-221-1212
Northwest Airlines 800-225-2525
Southwest Airlines 800-435-9792
United Airlines 800-241-6522
US Airways (US Air) 800-428-4322

Van shuttle service (at $9 one way, leaving hourly, on the hour) to the Biltmore hotel, the Westin, and Brown University is available at the airport, as is car rental information.
